First I would like to thank you all for being a part of a great 2008 for the Fayetteville Wine Society. Hopefully, we are going to finish up the year with a Bang. Its back to Italy for the December meeting, and since the February 2008 was a tasting of Northern Italian wines, we decided to go to Central Italy, with a focus on Tuscany. Since Tuscany provides many of the great Italian wines we drink today, we thought we would look at the regions history as well as its wines. Additionally, we are going to place some focus on a really important part of winemaking history: The Supertuscan Revolution. Dean Michaels, director of Education for Empire Distributors, will be our guest speaker for the evening. It will be an evening full of education and fine wine.
We will be returning to Luigis Italian Restaurant for this event (appropriate considering the subject). If you came to our previous event here, you will remember it is rather tight. Unfortunately, we have to limit reservations. The only way we can do this fairly is:
Members before non-members, and after that, first come first serve. That means that we will take all reservations through next week (Sunday, Nov. 30), however Members will have first priority. We will then open the reservations to all guests on Monday November 31 until we are full. Please do not hesitate to make a reservation for this event ASAP, as it is sure to fill quickly. We hope we can accommodate everyone and we certainly will try.
Please note: make sure you intend on filling your reservation or contacting us as soon as you realize you cannot. You may be taking a seat someone would gladly fill.
Please RSVP to: rsvp@fayettevillewinesociety.com with the names and number of those who will be attending. Also, remember to bring cash or a check payable to the Fayetteville Wine Society in order to pay for your attendance. Once again, we are no longer capable of accepting credit cards. Thank you!
